1. EFFECTS SECTION
8 high resolution potentiometers and 8 buttons make up the effect section of TRAKTOR KONTROL X1. This section allows control of all the parameters of 2 TRAKTOR effect units simultaneously. In Chained mode, this means simultaneous control over 3 effects per deck. The effects section buttons are programmed to give direct access to 3 of your favorite effect presets.



2. BROWSE SECTION
One push encoder per deck is dedicated to browsing through play lists and loading tracks. Simply turn the push encoder to find the track you want, and push it to load it into the corresponding deck. Once the track is loaded the same encoders seek through the track, using tempo sync'd beat jumps to remain in time.

3. LOOP SECTION
This section allows for intuitive control of TRAKTOR's loop function, giving clear visual feedback about the loop status via LEDs. The section offers first level access to auto loops and manual loops as well as loop editing functions such as loop size and loop position, both coarse and fine.

4. TRANSPORT SECTION
This section provides direct access to basic playback controls as well as shifted access to 8 secondary functions for each deck. All buttons for industry standard workflows (Play, Sync, Cue + Cup) are located here. Switch to hotcue mode and you get another 16 buttons for controlling the 8 hot cues or hot loops per track. Plus, the CUP button flashes in time with the deck's BPM as an added visual mix aid.

SETUP EXAMPLES

TRAKTOR X1 KONTROL is suitable for any TRAKTOR setup - from a software-only setup with just a laptop to a comprehensive digital vinyl setup with TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO / PRO.

In this simple setup a laptop running TRAKTOR is connected to the X1 via USB. The AUDIO 2 DJ soundcard outputs the sound to active monitors and headphones. Perfect for on the road, the hotel, or rocking an after-party.

When used with a DJ mixer simply connect the X1 to a computer running TRAKTOR and use your soundcard, (here the AUDIO 4 DJ) to send the signal from the two decks to two seperate mixer channels. Using the X1 for controlling TRAKTOR's decks and the external mixer for the mixing- you don't have to touch your computer at all.

In this setup, two X1 units are used to control all four of TRAKTOR PRO's decks. The external mixer means you won't have to touch your computer. The AUDIO 8 DJ soundcard outputs the sound to 4 separate stereo mixer channels. The possibilities are endless.

The X1 is also the perfect companion for DJs who spin using vinyl controllers. Integrating into the standard DVS setup, the vinyl continues to take care of the transport functions of the DVS, while the XI is used for finding and loading tracks, looping and effects. DJ's who love the hands-on nature of vinyl will appreciate the X1's hardware credentials, and not having to touch the computer mid-set.

Here four CD decks control the transport and track-seeking for four TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO decks. But with two X1 units, adventurous DJs can also have deluxe hot-cue, loop and effects control for each deck! Everything is accessible from the X1's or CDJs, and DJ's wont have to touch the computer at all.

Six high-resolution potentiometers and six buttons make up the SP-6 sample player section of Serato Scratch Live™. This section allows 1-button control for triggering samples and one-shots while being able to adjust their volume levels independently.


2. BROWSE SECTION
One push encoder per deck is dedicated to browsing through playlists and loading tracks. Simply turn the push encoder to find the track you want, and push it to load it into the corresponding deck. Pressing Shift when pushing the encoder provides convenient access to “instant doubles” for beatjuggling (duplicating the track on the other deck to the selected deck, in identical position). There are dedicated buttons to switch each deck from absolute to relative timecode tracking.


3. LOOP SECTION
This section allows for intuitive control of loop capabilities. The section offers 1-click manual looping (setting loop in and out points) as well as auto loop when pushing the encoder. Turning the encoder will access the most integral loop editing function: changing the loop size.

4. CUE SECTION
This section provides direct access to all five hotcues per track, as well as one dedicated Tap button per deck to conveniently tap the track’s BPM. Here, all of the hardware and layout strengths of TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 come into full effect – DJing with Serato has never been more intuitive or fun!
