Well the new stuff keeps coming in, and I thought I would share my findings thus far….
First off the ADJ Mega Panel http://www.djsupply.com/proddetail.asp?p...D&cat=229.
Wow and double WOW….. yes I know it is more expensive than the Color pallet but ½ watt LEDs in this puppy and it BLOWS AWAY the Color Pallet. I “A” “B” ed them side by side and put them through my unscientific color test (this means I looked at them with my eyes instead of using the specs)… The Mega Panel was at least twice as bright it actually drowned out the Color pallet. It has more patterns and designs to go through also with up to 26 channels of DMX. So now the debate will begin, is it worth them money… My answer…. That depends… do you need something twice as bright as the color pallet?
Next little ditty that caught my eye was the Emerald Sky… DON’T count out lasers for you light show… this unit is awesome!! Great colors, great spread, bright, great movement… I LIKE!! http://www.djsupply.com/proddetail.asp?p...ky&cat=229

I never thought of a white light as wedding dance light until now… bright, great movement, awesome strobing, DMXable… two of these on a truss would definitely add to any light show, best of all since everything you own is most likely color, this will stand out as something new. Down fall, the movement is slightly jerky at slow speeds, so if you think of this to replace your mirror ball effect, you better look at it first… It is not terrible, but you can see the unit “jump” a bit as it turns slowly…neat thing we did, is to stop the turn altogether and fade between two of them… Would the problem in slow turning be a problem for me… No, but it is worth mentioning to those who need to know.

I don’t know if a mobile will have a use for these, but they look awesome in the show room, we hung 2 of them above the counter. Bright, fast color change, cool strobing. We will definitely be putting these in installs. Worth mentioning for those who have elaborate truss systems or work in clubs/bars. Again something different….
